12-3-2025 Planning Commission Monthly Meeting
Meeting called to order at 5:07 PM. Present are Ken Roman, Mike Mondloch, Nancy Moye, and Ashley Huinker.
Motion to accept the minutes of last meeting by Nancy Moye. Motion seconded by Mike Mondloch.
Ken Roman reports that a week after our last meeting, a zoning question went out from Bayfield County to the town board. Ken answered the survey and sent it, but hasn’t heard anything about it since. One of the questions was in regard to the minimum lot size. Mondloch points out that if we do a Town of Bell survey, a question about lot size would be a great question to add, because lot sizes affect the rural feel, character of the area, and housing density.
Ken asked the group about a good time for asking the representative from Northwest Regional Planning to have a kickoff meeting about the comprehensive plan in 2026. Based on responses, he will set something up during the second half of the month, between the 15th and the 30th. Nancy says that by the time we meet with her, we should have the questions from the 2019 survey together to show to the representative. We need to have a checklist of questions that we need to ask the representative in preparation for the meeting at the end of January.
Nancy is willing to take a look at the questions from the 2007 survey and cross-reference them with the 2019 survey to see what was similar and what changed between the two surveys, and if any answers to similar questions may have changed.
Ashley will send Nancy a template of a checklist with questions for the representative.
January meeting is set for 5PM on Thursday, January 8. Motion carried.
Mike Mondloch makes a motion to adjourn. Ken Roman seconds. Meeting adjourned at 5:46 PM.
