Emergency Harbor Dredging – Discussion and Action – Dave presented the findings from the survey that was done. Pauline made a motion to allocate up to $20,000 for the dredging of the mouth of the river. Doug 2nd the motion. Dave presented the quotes for the equipment need to do the dredging. The operator should be under $2000, fuel should be around $1400, the long reach machine is quoted for $6,100 from Stack Bros. Without the trucking of the spoils the cost is looking like it will be $11,240. Matt stated that we should have no problem finding trucks to haul. It will start on June 5th through the 17th. Matt stated that he does not feel that the town of Bell should be the soul financier of the project Jessica agreed. Chuck asked who else should pay, Jessica stated the other business that benefits from the dredging should be paying for some of it. Michael asked if more than $5000 has to go out on bid. Matt said it’s supposed to. Dave said the machine rental can be posted for a week. Marybeth checked it out. Dave already has a bid that was higher than Stack Bros. Michael stated that the long arm machine is not necessary. Jessica stated that we can dredge from the town side only and leave the private side to their own doing. Chuck called the question Chuck, Pauline, Doug, Will, Dave, voted yes and Matt and Jessica voted no. Motion passed.

Adjournment – Meeting was adjourned at 7:25p.m.

Respectfully Submitted Nancy Thorson – Secretary
