Town of Bell Parks and Lands November Meeting Minutes

Friday, November 7, 2025 – 9:30 am @ Cornucopia Community Center

Chair Doug Becker called the meeting to order at 9:40 am.

Committee members present: Doug Becker, Gordon Anderson, Richard Dunn, Steve Rudd

Absent: Gina Emily

Others present: Judy Becker

Old Business:

• Motion to approve the October, 2025 minutes by G. Anderson, seconded by S. Rudd; passed.
• Budget review: no report.
• Maintenance Update:
  • Beach Bathroom Maintenance: closed for the season; locks are worn and will be replaced.
  • Playgrounds: back fill was added by R. Dunn.
  • Green Shed Pavilion Picnic Tables: G. Emily will refresh game board stencils in spring.
  • Seasonal Cleanup: life rings will be stored and break wall gate will be closed before the snow arrives; picnic tables stored; new tables will be placed up on cinder blocks due to spring flooding.
• Campground:
  • Dunn reported water source repaired by Kurt Nelson.
• Siskiwit Lake Boat Launch:
  • Extra keys for donation box will be made by R. Dunn.
  • Town will list old dock for sale; new dock removed for the season.
• Cornucopia Sign: G. Anderson will request Town to create a committee to oversee new sign creation and installation.
• Flowing Well Kiosk Drainage: a well specialist has been contacted; no update.
• Posting Board (near Post Office): plexiglass will be acquired by G. Anderson for installation.
• Tennis/pickleball Court Repair Reimbursement was sent to volunteer by the Town.

New Business:

• Outdoor Exercise Equipment County Grant: S. Rudd will investigate 2026 grant requirements, research styles and costs of equipment. Locations for installation were discussed.
• Next meeting: Friday, February 6, 2026, at 9:30 am at the Community Center.
• Motion to adjourn made by R. Dunn, seconded by S. Rudd. Passed at 10:08 a.m.
