Agenda
Old Business
- Liberty shelter project, discussion and possible decision
A proposal from Gringrich was received at the last board meeting that was less than
$20,000.00. The detailed cost is $10,333 for materials and $9600.00 labor. G. Anderson
made motion to accept the proposal from Gringrich to provide a roof over the Liberty for
$19,933.00. J. Kaseno 2nd the motion. Unanimous decision. Motion approved.
- Sanitary District improvement project, discussion
The best alternative to the expansion project is the used rotating biological contactor with
continuous discharge to dry run to Lake Superior (chemical storage is located within RBC
cover). The cost of the project is $2,419,000.00. The Wis. DNR will give the Sanitary
District a loan with a 0% interest rate for 20 years. In order for the WI DNR to give them
a loan, they want assurance from the Sanitary District on repayment. An option for
them would be to annex all properties in Town of Bell into the Town of Bell Sanitary
District, and levy the yearly loan payment. The levy amount would be approximately
$50,000 a year. A hearing would be necessary for this to occur.
The board asked them to look for alternatives to what the WIDNR would require to give
them a loan.
